Real Madrid are the defending Spanish and European champions going into the 23/24 season. Yet, it feels like this side has so much more to offer and is nowhere near its prime. Just think of how many of their key players are in their early-to-mid 20s at the moment. They are only expected to get better from here.

One Real Madrid youngster who did not get to play much last season was Arda Guler. A large part of that was because of multiple injuries he suffered after arriving in the Spanish capital, before he could even make his debut in the Royal White jersey.

Guler was fantastic when he did get a few chances at the end of the season though. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 6 goals in 12 appearances and 440 minutes of action.

Guler followed that up with a phenomenal EURO campaign with the Turkey national team. And there is a lot of excitement surrounding him, going into the 24/25 season. Will he still be a Real Madrid player though?

There appears to be interest in England for the Turkish talent. As reported by Defensa Central (via CaughtOffside), Newcastle United have made an offer of €80 million (£67 million) to Real Madrid for Guler.

It remains to be seen if the news is accurate or not. If it is then Real Madrid could certainly consider Guler's future. In the past, the club have shown that they are ready to let players go if the right offer comes in.

At the end of the day, he is someone who has barely played and spent most of his time out injured last season. On top of that, Kylian Mbappe and Endrick arrived this summer, which has only increased competition for places in that area of the pitch.

That being said, would Guler be open to swapping Real Madrid for Newcastle United? And perhaps more importantly, are the Premier League club in a position to make offers of this magnitude considering their issues dealing with PSR rules recently?
