5. Luis Enrique

When you hear the name Luis Enrique, you automatically think of Barcelona. Particularly the new era of football fans, who may associate Enrique with being the head coach. However, he did also represent Real Madrid as a player. 

In fact, Enrique spent five years with Real Madrid between 1991-1996. Eventually, he would run down his contract in the Spanish capital and sign for Barcelona. 

It is understandable that he is mostly known for his time with Barcelona, given the difference in form. He was one of Barcelona’s main players in the late 90s and early 00s.

From a Real Madrid perspective, Enrique is not looked on fondly. However, looking at his career from an unbiased perspective, he is one of the best players who played for Real Madrid and Barcelona throughout history.
