5. Vincente del Bosque

One of the finest examples in history of a one-club man, Vicente del Bosque is a Real Madrid legend and he lives and breathes the club. Coming through the youth academy, del Bosque spent the 1960s, 70s and 80s representing Real Madrid and mastering the midfield role.

Playing as a deep-lying midfielder, it is easy to understand why del Bosque developed such a love for the game and implemented his own philosophy throughout his career. The philosophy is impossible to understand as it could only be appreciated but it is the same philosophy which made him not just a great player but manager too, leading Real Madrid and the best Spanish side in history to victory.

Vicente del Bosque retired as a player at Real Madrid in 1984, having spent his entire career playing for Los Blancos, with the exception of some loan spells. To this day, his impact on the Real Madrid midfield can still be seen, even with the likes of Toni Kroos benefitting from his imprint.
