The Chelsea teenager is believed to be pivotal to Enzo Maresca's long-term plans but due to their treatment of young players and the youth system in general, many young players are considering their futures elsewhere.

Therefore, Real Madrid are keeping their beady-eyes on the situation, which might see Acheampong forced out of Chelsea. Due to the nature of the market, particularly for younger players, Real Madrid anticipate Acheampong to cost around €15m, a product of Leny Yoro's recent transfer fee, which hiked the price for young players in this transfer window.

Acheampong is a versatile defender who can play as a centre-back, full-back or wing-back. Therefore, the options are great for Carlo Ancelotti to explore. As one of this former clubs, Carlo Ancelotti will be aware that it is difficult for young players to make the cut at Stamford Bridge, so hopefully he can offer the promising Achampong a future lifeline.
