Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain will be involved in a heated transfer battle this summer. However, it is not a battle that either side is unfamiliar with. After all, being the two most dominant financial powerhouses in Europe, the giants from the Spanish and French capitals are accustomed to pursuing the same transfer goals.
Aside from the blatant Kylian Mbappe saga, Paris Saint-Germain are looking to gain revenge on Los Blancos in their own way. However, if Florentino Perez has anything to do with it, Real Madrid will hold their own in the transfer window. It is believed that a bid is currently being plotted by Real to hopefully gain an advantage on PSG.

Real Madrid prepare €30m bid for Paris Saint-Germain transfer target
According to Foot Mercato, Real Madrid could submit "a first offer worth €30 million + bonuses" for the signing of LOSC centre-back Leny Yoro. The 18-year-old has been wanted by Paris Saint-Germain for a longer time but Real Madrid are not giving up.
It is believed that LOSC will understandably hold out for more money. After all, Yoro is emerging as one of the best centre-backs in the game, despite still being in the first stage of his career. He is a prized asset, so LOSC will rely on PSG to submit a higher offer, which they are likely to do.
Real Madrid hope that the size and pull factor of their club will persuade Leny Yoro to prefer them over PSG. While a player's decision is not the be-all and end-all of transfer talk, if Yoro does prefer Real Madrid over their French competitors, then the balancing act will tip in favour of the whites.
It is widely documented that Florentino Perez and Carlo Ancelotti have incredible transfer plans for the upcoming summer transfer window. Therefore, it appears unlikely that they would be willing to blow their transfer budget on individual players. It is a great strategy and one which will have a better impact on the overall squad, rather than Real Madrid involving themselves in a bidding war for Yoro.
From Madrid's perspective, they would like to invest in the future of their defence. They are not oblivious to the fact that Nacho Fernandez, Lucas Vazquez Dani Carvajal, David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger are only getting older. Thankfully, the ever-prudent Real Madrid higher-ups have noticed this and wish to rectify it with young defensive signings before the issue exacerbates.
Do you think Real Madrid will sign Leny Yoro?
