Real Madrid ready to pay €30m fee to sign 'Next Sergio Ramos'
Legendary former Real Madrid player and captain, Sergio Ramos, has been back playing in Spain this season. The 37-year-old has gotten consistent playing time as well, showing that he is still capable of performing at a top European level. He was linked with a potential return to Santiago Bernabeu in the summer as well but it looks like it is one of his Sevilla teammates who Los Blancos are interested in.
Dani Carvajal's long-term future as Real Madrid's starting right-back is uncertain. He has improved this season after a disappointing 2022/23 campaign. At the end of the day, he will turn 32 years of age in a week.
So, Real Madrid do need to find a long-term successor to Carvajal at right-back. And it looks like one of Sevilla's most promising youngsters has caught their eye.
As reported by Fichajes (via The Hard Tackle), Juanlu Sanchez is a top transfer target for Real Madrid. Los Blancos are willing to pay a €30 million fee to land the Sevilla defender.

Unsurprisingly, Juanlu has been dubbed the 'Next Ramos'. Real Madrid signed the Spaniard back in 2005 from Sevilla for a €27 million fee, a then record for a Spanish defender.
Of course, if Juanlu did arrive at Real Madrid, he would do so amid high expectations, especially with the Ramos comparisons. it would be important to give him time to adjust though.
At the end of the day, Juanlu is 20 years of age and has only recently started to establish himself in Sevilla's starting XI. The potential is there for sure. But he is not someone who would arrive and walk straight into Real Madrid's first-team. He would probably need a year or two as a cover option before making that jump.
