Real Madrid are light on options in a number of areas on the pitch. Right-back certainly is one of them. Dani Carvajal has been the starter there for a long time now. He is 31 years of age now and while his form has improved this season, sooner or later, the club will need to find a long-term replacement for the Spaniard. His cover option is Lucas Vazquez, whose performances have drawn a lot of criticism.

They have been linked with a number of right-backs in recent times. Reece James of Chelsea, Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool and several others are believed to be on the club's radar.

Pedro Porro seems to be one such player. Real Madrid were linked with him before he completed a €45 million move to Tottenham Hotspur. The Spaniard has been on top form this season.

Unfortunately, it looks like other clubs are looking at him as well. As reported by Tottenham News, Real Madrid and Barcelona have been keeping an eye on the progress of Porro.

Porro made a somewhat slow start to life at Tottenham Hotspur. But he has come into his own this season, as the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as manager has proven to be a grand success for the London club.

Porro's numbers have been fantastic for a right-back. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 7 assists in 18 appearances this season in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur so far.

No wonder clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona are keeping an eye on the Tottenham Hotspur player. Of course, it would take a significant transfer fee to sign him. And it remains to be seen if either club is ready to make a move of that magnitude anytime soon.
