Real Madrid have had an incredible 2023/24 season. Having already won the league title and the cup, Carlo Ancelotti could complete an exceptional treble winning season, should he lead Real Madrid to victory in the UEFA Champions League final. They will face Borussia Dortmund on June 1st and while they will not overlook their opponents, Los Blancos are considered the favourites.

However, there are some tough starting lineup calls for Carlo Ancelotti to make. In what is a nice problem to have for the Italian head coach, he has many great players pushing for their spot in the Champions League final starting lineup.

One of those players who have impressed despite playing limited minutes is Arda Güler. The 19-year-old Turkey sensation is certainly proving himself in the Real Madrid squad, having scored a brace in that thrilling 4-4 encounter between Villarreal and Real at the weekend.

Arda Güler arrived from Fenerbahçe in 2023, having turned down offers from FC Barcelona. It took him a while to settle into his new surroundings in the Spanish capital and, in all honesty, even to be given a chance by Carlo Ancelotti. However, it is now approaching a time where benching Güler seems unjust.

Despite playing just 373 minutes of La Liga action this season, the Turkey wonder-kid Arda Güler has scored an impressive six goals (WhoScored). Having made just four league starts and six measly cameos from the bench, this is an impressive return for the 19-year-old.

But what chance does Güler have of making the Real Madrid for the UEFA Champions League final in June? Well, looking at his impressive goal return, it would be easy to assume that he is close to being a sure starter. However, the issue Güler faces is that he will compete with the likes of Vinícius Júnior, Jude Bellingham, Joselu and Rodrygo for a place in the starting lineup. Not as easy, right?

Regardless, Carlo Ancelotti has noticed the fine form of his wonder-kid and has given him a significant confidence boost heading into the final La Liga game of the season. Ancelotti has claimed that he could call on Arda Güler for the Champions League final, as per GSFN.

In his own words, Ancelotti said: “I’m counting on Güler, Joselu and Brahim for the Champions League final,”

Real Madrid host Real Betis on Saturday in the final league match this season. Perhaps, Arda Güler will be handed a final opportunity to prove himself.
