Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is not the kind of man to shy away from voicing his opinions. This is partly what has made him the incredible manager he has been throughout the years since he is not afraid to come across in a bad light and encourages his players to do the same. Two players who have earned the right to shout from the rooftops this season are Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.
Both Real Madrid players have been the standout performers in what has been an incredible season for Real Madrid. Los Blancos sit atop of La Liga table, while preparing for the semifinal of the UEFA Champions League. Needless to say, they are closing in on a truly historic season.
Both players are tipped for individual accolades, come the end of the season and the end of the calendar year. After all, while football is very much a team sport, individual performers should not go overlooked and Bellingham and Vini top that list for Real Madrid.
Real Madrid boss makes excellent Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham claim
Carlo Ancelotti has yet again made his opinion known. A stern manager who speaks his truth is very often fair in his judgement and this time around is no different. According to a report by GSFN, Carlo Ancelotti has named his two contenders to win the Ballon d'Or award as Real Madrid pair Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.
In his own words, Ancelotti very directly stated: “The Ballon d’Or should go to Bellingham and Vinícius.”
It is impossible to say we disagree. After all, there aren't many players in Europe who can top the exceptional performances shown by Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior this season.
It is most impressive to see the excellent display of Jude Bellingham. A youngster within his first season in Spain has completely set the world alight, scoring a plethora of important goals, including most recently when he won El Clasico with a late strike. This season, Bellingham has scored 21 goals and provided eight assists all competitions.
Vinicius Junior, even by his own incredibly high standards, has also impressed this season. Vini has scored 19 goals and provided nine assists across all competitions. Therefore, both players have inspired each other to achieve more, which can only mean great things both on and off the pitch for Carlo Ancelotti, hence his spotlight on them as a pair.
Who do you think should win the Ballon d'Or, so far?
