Real Madrid face RB Leipzig this evening in the UEFA Champions League. It is the 2nd leg of their two-legged tie and as thing stand, the aggregate score is Real Madrid 1-0 RB Leipzig. As we head into this important fixture, what is the latest Real Madrid injury news?

Real Madrid injury news as 2 stars return and 3 miss out vs RB Leipzig

Well, it's a mixture of good and bad as far as Real Madrid are concerned. From the 1st leg, they have 2 returning players in Jude Bellingham and Antonio Rudiger. These two core players missed the opening round through injury but they are good to go in this one, since they are in the squad, according to Sports Mole.

However, Real Madrid currently miss three players through injury. Thibaut Courtois is currently out of action and although he has recently returned to training, he will not be available to play in this match. Furthermore, Eder Militao is missing from the defence and so too is David Alaba, both ruled out through injury.

Carlo Ancelotti will plan his best starting lineup accordingly. He knows the value of the competition better than most so he will be cautious to not become complacent with his 1-0 advantage. After all, Leipzig proved in the opening leg that they can be a tough nut to crack

There is no denying that having Jude Bellingham back and ready to play is a massive boost. The Englishman missed the opening leg and even though he picked up a red card in La Liga at the weekend, he is still eligible to play in UEFA competition. Therefore, Ancelotti has been given extra encouragement to start Bellingham, not that he needed any further urge.
