Kylian Mbappe runs out of contract at the end of the season and many expect that he will join Real Madrid. The transfer saga stretches back MANY years but it is believed that this summer is the time when the rumour will finaly reach its happy ending, from Real Madrid's perspective.

Speaking of expiring contracts, Real Madrid have their own to consider. At the start of this month, The Real Champs addressed the 6 Real Madrid players with contracts expiring in 2024 and topping the list was Toni Kroos. The Germany international is a club legend who is involved in his own tug-of-war in the contract department.

So, it remains to be seen whether Toni Kroos will play alongside Kylian Mbappe next season. When asked about the potential of being joined by the French sensation, Toni Kroos hardly gave much away.

Real Madrid legend makes admirable Kylian Mbappe claim

According to English outlet Daily Mail, Toni Kroos was asked about Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid and he replied by hinting that he isn't needed. Well, it was a more respectful (to all parties) way of saying it, but this was the underlying message from Kroos.

In his own words, Kroos said: "If even he doesn't know, how can I know? The important thing is to win things. It would be nice for Madrid, but I think we already have a good team,"

It was a reasoned and understandable response from Toni Kroos. After all, he is not the only Real Madrid player to be blasted with questions about an unknown situation. It is unknown what the reporters expect the players to answer but they are hardly going to confirm the transfer before any club or Kylian Mbappe himself does.

Questions to Real Madrid players should be about Real Madrid players only. Fair play to Kroos for showing the ultimate respect to all parties.
