Cristiano Ronaldo needs absolutely no introduction to Real Madrid fans. He is a club legend through and through. Despite representing other clubs, he still bleeds the Royal White of Real Madrid.
Without a doubt, he is the best player in Real Madrid history. The best player of all time can be contested but from a Real Madrid perspective, CR7 is the only player to sit on the throne.
Known for being a "record breaker, history maker", Cristiano Ronaldo has continuously set new standards throughout his career and those standards can only be met by someone as hard-working and ambitious as himself.
Last night, Cristiano Ronaldo made history yet again and unsurprisingly, set a new goal-scoring record for the world to see.
Real Madrid legend makes history with 900 career goals
Scoring for Portugal against Croatia, Cristiano Ronaldo made history by becoming the first player throughout time to score 900 career goals.
Writing to social media after scoring the history-setting goal, Cristiano Ronaldo offered a quick summary, not even mentioning his goal. On Instagram, he said (translated to English): "We walked into the Nations League on the right foot! We keep going."
In the comments, Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior offered his support by commenting with a goat emoji, indicating Ronaldo is the Greatest Of All Time.
Unsurprisingly, the vast majority of those goals came while wearing the infamous white Real Madrid jersey. In fact, Ronaldo scored 450 of his 900 goals at Real Madrid, so exactly half came at Real Madrid, despite playing for six different clubs.
Club | Goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo |
---|---|
Real Madrid | 450 |
Manchester United | 145 |
Portugal | 131 |
Juventus | 101 |
Al-Nassr | 68 |
Sporting CP | 5 |
Cristiano Ronaldo played for Real Madrid from the years 2009-2018. He was one of the most recognised members of Florentino Perez' infamous Galácticos.
In the Spanish capital, Cristiano Ronaldo achieved great success. His 450 goals contributed to lifting four Champions Leagues and three La Ligas with Real Madrid. Not a bad cabinet, right?
It is impossible to pinpoint Cristiano Ronaldo down to one specific trait. In fact, he is a well-rounded package who could score a plethora of goals. This is what made him so special to Real Madrid.
He was an excellent dead-ball specialist, a skilful player and a keen high-flyer in the air. If you are ever bored and in need of entertainment, watch back videos of his best goals at Real Madrid; you will not be disappointed.
The scary thing is, Cristiano Ronaldo is by no means done. If he continues at this rate at Al-Nassr, he could even bag 1000 career goals. That would be some precedent.
