Real Madrid have a fantastic track record in recent years when it comes to scouting and identifying wonderkids from all across the globe, signing them and then developing them into first-team superstars at Santiago Bernabeu. The same cannot be said about their ability to promote youngsters who have come through the club's own youth ranks.

Several Real Madrid youth and developmental standouts have left the club in recent years and proven themselves elsewhere. Martin Odegaard, Miguel Gutierrez, Achraf Hakimi and several other names come to mind immediately.

Another one of Zinedine Zidane's sons looks set to leave Real Madrid. After Luca and Enzo, Elyaz will become the third one to do so.

As reported by The Athletic, Elyaz is set to leave Real Madrid and join Real Betis. He has finalised a deal to join the club until 2026.

Elyaz has not been getting enough opportunities in Alvaro Arbeloa's team this season. And that has led to him seeking a move away from the club. Real Betis are going to be his next destination.

Elyaz can play both as a centre-back and left-back. He is 18 years of age and has represented France at multiple youth international levels.

It remains to be seen how things turn out for him in the future. His exit would mean that Theo would be the only Zidane remaining at Real Madrid. He is 21 years of age and part of the Castilla team, but has not gotten a chance at the senior level yet.

Of course, one cannot argue with the success that Real Madrid have been enjoying on the pitch. It would be nice though to see a few of the youth graduates get a proper chance in the senior side.
