Toni Kroos is one of the best players in the history of Real Madrid and his contributions to the club over the years have been somewhat underrated. The German midfield maestro has been a steady performer throughout his time at Santiago Bernabeu and has never really had a prime. At the international level, he is a World Cup winner with Germany.

Kroos is also someone who has never been afraid to put forward his thoughts. And he has been pretty critical of players moving to the Saudi Pro League in recent times.

Real Madrid played their Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Atletico Madrid at Al-Awwal Park. And Kroos was not a popular figure, as he faced boos throughout his time on the pitch during the match, every time he got on the ball.

This ended up creating a lot of headlines, as one would expect. And Kroos has taken what looks like a sarcastic approach to the matter. He tweeted:

Of course, Kroos is not someone who would be unfamiliar to booing. He has been playing at the top level for over a decade now and has been involved in some of the most important matches in the history of the game.

Naturally, the atmosphere did not seem to have much of an effect on Kroos' performance. He was as steady as ever in the middle of the park and ultimately helped guide his team to a 5-3 win over Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid now wait to learn the identity of their opponents in the final. Barcelona and Osasuna will take on each other in the second semi-final. Considering the forms of those two teams this season, one would have to consider Carlo Ancelotti's side to win the tournament, no matter who they face at the weekend.
