Real Madrid need to strengthen in a number of positions across the pitch. One of them is centre-back. On one hand, they have long-term injuries there and both David Alaba and Eder Militao are expected to remain out for the foreseeable future. On the other hand, only the Brazilian is younger than 30 years of age out of the club's four centre-backs.
So, signing someone who can be a stalwart in defence for years to come would be a good decision for Real Madrid. And it looks like they have a player in their sights who has been dubbed as the 'Next Raphael Varane'.
Of course, Varane enjoys legendary status at Real Madrid, having won four Champions League titles during his time at Santiago Bernabeu. A French youngster is making waves in Ligue 1 right now and seems to have caught the eye of Los Blancos, as well as several other clubs.
As reported by Telefoot (via AS), Leny Yoro is being followed by several top clubs in Europe. One of those in first position is Real Madrid, also Liverpool and PSG.

Yoro has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent times. He is 18 years of age but already a regular starter for Lille, who have one of the best defensive records in Ligue 1.
Unsurprisingly, several top clubs appear to be interested in Yoro. It is expected to take a transfer fee north of €50 million to convince Lille to part ways with their wonderkid, who seems destined to be one of the best centre-backs in the world for years to come.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Yoro. It does feel like he will leave Lille next summer and join one of Europe's best clubs. Will that be Real Madrid? Time shall tell.
