Real Madrid incredibly see themselves as a club with work to do. By many other club's standards, they would be at the top and enjoying it. However, as much as Carlo Ancelotti enjoyed lifting the treble last season, this has only motivated him to go out there and do it again. It does come at the sacrifice of this summer arguably being busier than the season ahead but it's a sacrifice he's willing to make.

Both Ancelotti and Florentino Perez want the best for the club. This has been evident by not only Ancelotti's daring tactics which are questioned by everybody except the players, but also Perez' daring transfers which are questioned by... You know the rest.

With Kylian Mbappe and Endrick already arriving this summer and the assumption that at least a few more transfers will be made, it is time for Ancelotti and Perez to consider which players will leave the club between now and the end of the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid officially sanction €12m transfer for another defender

According to a report from Fabrizio Romano and indeed, the two club's official accounts, a sale of the talented Real Madrid defender Rafa Marín to Napoli has been sanctioned. The contracts are signed and he is now a Napoli player, no longer belonging to Real Madrid. Real Madrid will receive €12m in transfer fees, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Rafa Marín has been with Real Madrid since he was a boy. Coming through the youth ranks, he was destined to become a star. However, since breaking into the first team in 2023, the now 22-year-old has not yet made a Liga appearance. Hence why he was considered up for sale by Carlo Ancelotti.

It seems that Rafa Marín passed the threshold to be considered in the long-term plans. Indeed, if he was considered a viable option for the future, he would have been given a shot in the first team before he turned 22.

Still, Rafa Marín clearly has talent. We wish him nothing but success at his new club Napoli, a club which Carlo Ancelotti loves.
