It would be an understatement to say that Jude Bellingham has exceeded all expectations since arriving at Real Madrid. He was the reigning Bundesliga Player of the Season at the time, so most expected him to be a success at Santiago Bernabeu as well. But the Englishman has taken his game several levels up after pulling on the Royal White jersey and might very well be the best player in the world right now. It is also worth remembering that he is still just 20 years of age.

Bellingham has been scoring goals for fun since joining Real Madrid. He scored a brace against Girona in the top of the table match, as Los Blancos won 4-0 and finally got themselves a comfortable lead in the league.

It also meant that Bellingham has now scored 20 goals this season. We are still in early February. Impressive numbers for a midfielder to say the least.

At the same time, it also means that he has now scored as many goals for Real Madrid as David Beckham did in his four seasons with the club. And Bellingham has done so in 130 fewer games than him.

Real Madrid player matches Beckham's record

Beckham might be one of the most famous footballers of all-time but his time at Real Madrid was not a grand success. He only won a La Liga title and a Supercopa de Espana during those four years in the Spanish capital before leaving for LA Galaxy.

One would expect Bellingham to enjoy a lot more success at Real Madrid. He already has one trophy in his cabinet in the form of the Supercopa de Espana and it would be a surprise if Los Blancos do not go on to win the league from here.

Real Madrid look like top contenders for the Champions League too. So far this season, they have lost just twice.
