Real Madrid player could leave as part of Alphonso Davies deal
Real Madrid need to strengthen in multiple positions across the pitch. The club are having an extraordinary campaign right now, especially when you consider the circumstances. But that does not mean that they should not make the required additions moving forward. Los Blancos rarely make signings in January but next summer could be a different story.
One of the players who has been constantly linked with Real Madrid in recent times is Alphonso Davies. His Bayern Munich contract runs out in the summer of 2025 and the two parties have not been able to agree an extension yet.
Bayern Munich have already seen David Alaba leave the club as a free agent in order to join Real Madrid. They would not want to see a repeat of that with Davies.
Thus, it is possible that the Canadian could end up leaving next summer if an extension is not agreed by then. As reported by Cadena SER, it cannot be ruled out that Ferland Mendy could enter into the operation to sign Davies.

Bayern Munich would surely want a sizeable fee even if Mendy is included as part of the deal for Davies. But at least it would bring that figure down.
Mendy has been important to Carlo Ancelotti's side, when he has been fit and available. And one has to admit that the Frenchman's performances this season have been pretty good.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for Mendy recently as well. So, if he was to leave Real Madrid, there would not be a lack of interest.
It is easy to understand why Real Madrid might be looking to part ways with Mendy though. He has been struggling with fitness issues for years. His current deal runs out in 2025 and naturally, the club might be reluctant to hand him a new one.
