Real Madrid player ruled out with another injury
Real Madrid have one of the most extensive injured lists in all of football right now. Three of their players have suffered torn ACLs this season already in the form of David Alaba, Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao. There are many others who have had to deal with short-term and medium-term injuries throughout the campaign.
Arda Guler is someone who has been dealing with one injury problem after another since arriving in the summer and is yet to even make his debut for the club. The 'Turkish Messi' is not the only Real Madrid player who has been constantly dealing with fitness issues though.
Ferland Mendy is someone who has struggled to remain fit for any consistent length of time for years now. He had impressed with his recent performances but has now picked up another injury. Fortunately, it is not a serious problem.
Mendy had to be subbed off at half-time in the recent game against Villarreal. As tweeted by Guillermo Rai, the Frenchman's MRI shows a small injury. He will be out for about 10 days.

That means that Mendy will miss Real Madrid's last game of the year, away against Alaves. He should hopefully be back in time to take on Mallorca early in January.
There has been a lot of speculation around the future of Mendy at Real Madrid recently. But with Fran Garcia struggling to impress since his arrival in the summer, the Frenchman has reestablished himself as the first-choice left-back in Carlo Ancelotti's side and he has been pretty good lately.
Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for Alphonso Davies next summer though. If the club did end up signing the Bayern Munich left-back, it could see Mendy head in the opposite direction.
