Real Madrid player slammed for performance vs Real Betis

Real Madrid fans were not happy with the club dropping points in a 1-1 draw with Real Betis. But in reality, it was Carlo Ancelotti's side who should been happier to come out of the match with a point. The home team were better in this game for the most part and this looked like an uninspiring performance on the part of Los Blancos.

That being said, a 1-1 draw away from home against Real Betis is not a bad result by any means. Especially when you take into account how many key Real Madrid players are currently out injured.

There were some players who shined on the day. Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Antonio Rudiger and Andriy Lunin deserve were the ones who stood out for Real Madrid. But then, there were some who did not impress.

Lucas Vazquez was unfortunately in the second category on the day. Real Madrid fans were not impressed with his performance against Real Betis and made it known on Twitter.

It quite certainly was not Vazquez's day. Nothing really came off for him but he did remain on the pitch till the 83th minute before being replaced by Nacho.

It remains to be seen if Nacho gets the chance to start in the club's next game. It is a Champions League away trip to Germany to take Union Berlin.

The Bundesliga side are completely out of form at the moment and sit at 15th in the table, merely a point above the relegation zone. So, it might be the right opportunity for Ancelotti to experiment a bit and see if he can find some fresh solutions.

The biggest problem Real Madrid are facing right now is a lack of depth. Dani Carvajal is out injured for the next few weeks. And it is worth remembering that Vazquez is only a converted right-back.
