Real Madrid are actively involved in preparation for the upcoming UEFA Super Cup and of course, the commencement of La Liga once again this weekend. That said, Carlo Ancelotti's mind is pretty occupied at the moment. Nevertheless, his star player Vinícius Júnior has been making the headlines recently, with a Saudi Investment Fund showing a keen interest in signing him.

At this stage, it is hard to envision Vinícius Júnior playing anywhere but the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. After all, he has emerged into the best player in the world currently and is showing every sign of becoming a club legend at Real Madrid.

So, is there any price which can convince Real Madrid to sell Vinícius Júnior? Well, there is one price which they couldn't say no to...

Real Madrid reaffirm an unimaginable transfer fee for Vinícius Júnior

According to an update from AS, Real Madrid are braced for a big offer from Saudi Arabia for Vinícius Júnior, with the nation having aspirations to host the best football league in the world in the future. However, Real Madrid will reply with a resounding no. What's more, is that Real Madrid will continue to say no, unless any club meets Vinícius Júnior's unthinkable €1bn transfer release clause.

Furthermore, the report echoes that Vinícius Júnior is not currently interested in leaving Real Madrid. However, he will listen to offers regardless. Indeed, it is said within the report (translated from Spanish to English) that "to reject something, you first have to know exactly what the proposal is."

For context, should any club agree to pay €1bn for Vinícius Júnior, they would be free to skip club negotiations and skip straight to personal terms with the player. However, Real Madrid set this €1bn release clause for one reason; no club will be willing to pay it, surely.

Football is a very money-driven sport, this is known to many. However, never has a transfer exceeded €222m, the current transfer record held by Neymar. This transfer record was set in 2017 and hasn't been broken, not even seven years later. So, it is incredibly unlikely that Al-Ahli, the club linked to Vinícius Júnior, would be willing to shatter this transfer fee by over four times the amount.

Can you envision Vinícius Júnior becoming a Real Madrid legend?
