Real Madrid secure new deal for Spain’s best talent
According to a report by AS, Spanish youngster Jesus Fortea has signed a contract extension with Real Madrid. The 16-year-old currently plays for the U19 team but he has a great progressional plan set out by the club.
It is believed that Fortea has extended his current youth contract until 2026 since this is the maximum allowed due to his age. However, the plan remains for Real Madrid to sign him permanently when he turns 18 in 2025.
Fortea will gain invaluable experience playing for Real Madrid Castilla next season, despite still being a youth player. This flexibility clearly shows the intent from Real Madrid to include Jesus Fortea in their long-term plans.
Forta is a right-back who is seen as the eventual long-term successor to Dani Carvajal, who has made quite the legacy at the Santiago Bernabeu. They will be big boots to fill but given the promise which Fortea is showing, he may be in the best position to live up to this expectation. Madrid has some of the best facilities in the world, so his progression in the Spanish capital will be second to none.
