Real Madrid want to sign another Argentine wonderkid
Real Madrid have been brilliant in recent years when it comes to identifying the best South American talents and developing them into first-team superstars at Santiago Bernabeu. Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde are all perfect examples. Endrick will be arriving soon as well and it would be an understatement to say that there are high expectations surrounding him.
Real Madrid already have an Argentine wonderkid of their own in the form of Nico Paz, who is considered one of the biggest young talents in world football today. Born in Spain, he has been at the club since 2016.
Now, it appears that Real Madrid are looking to add another Argentine wonderkid to their ranks. They might have missed out on Claudio Echeverri, who joined Manchester City, but one of his River Plate teammates is already in their sights.
As reported by TNT Sports (via AS), Real Madrid have once again set their eyes on South America. They closely River Plate's Franco Mastantuono.

Mastantuono is just 16 years of age but is already playing first-team football for River Plate. In fact, he has not featured in just two games for the Argentine league leaders so far this season and even started a few.
There is no doubt that Mastantuono is a fantastic talent. He can play in the number 10 role or on the right flank with equal ease.
It is only a matter of time before he gets his move to Europe. And it remains to be seen if Real Madrid are able to win the race for the Argentine wonderkid's signature.
Europe's best teams are expected to try to sign Mastantuono as well. One can only hope that Real Madrid's proven track record of developing South American youngsters gives them the edge.
