Real Madrid agreeing a €60 million transfer package for Endrick with Palmeiras did cause a lot of football fans from around the world to raise their eyebrows. Yes, the forward is one of the most highly-rated young talents right now and is considered the biggest talent to come out of Brazilian football since Neymar, but even then, it seemed like a major risk on the part of Los Blancos.

It looks to be bearing fruit already though. After struggling for quite some time, Endrick came into his own towards the end of the Brazilian season.

Palmeiras ended up winning the Brazilian Serie A title. On the other hand, Endrick surpassed one of Neymar's records from his time at Santos.

Neymar had scored 10 goals in his debut campaign for Santos, which was the second highest for a player under the age of 18 in the Brazilian Serie A. Endrick has overtaken that number by scoring 11. Only Ronaldo Nazario scored more, managing 12 for Cruzeiro.

Of course, Endrick has earned comparisons with Ronaldo. It will be interesting to see if he can come close to matching the Brazilian legend's start in European football.

Ronaldo joined PSV Eindhoven at 17 years of age and managed 35 goals in his debut campaign for the Dutch club. He was a phenomenon in every sense of the word and it would unfair to expect similar feats from Endrick.

Endrick must be given the chance to develop at his own pace. He has shown that he is a terrific talent already. But then, there have been difficult phases as well. He is expected to experience similar ups and downs once he joins Real Madrid.

The good thing is, the club have proven that they have the patience to develop young talents. Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo are prime examples. Expect a similar approach with Endrick.
