Real Madrid will face Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal. The current biggest star at Real Madrid, Vinicius Junior, has already had a taste of what it's like to come up against some Man City players, as he faced England on international duty at the weekend.

One player who caught the eye for Vini is Kyle Walker, the Man City and England full-back who came off injured in the first-half of international duty. The extent of his injury and whether this will impact the quarterfinal remains to be seen, but Vinicius Junior has spoken out about his injury, making a superb claim.

According to English outlet Metro, Vinicius Junior described Walker as the best defender he's ever come up against. Speaking on his injury, the Brazilian said that it's always sad to see a player leave the match prematurely. In his own words, Vini said:

"Every time a player leaves the pitch injured it’s very sad, not only for the player but for all of us who are there on the pitch. We want to play against the best, Walker, I always say, he’s the best defender I’ve ever faced and it’s always a very good duel. He respects me a lot and I respect him a lot. Each one defends their side with the greatest will in the world."

The contest in the Champions League final is bound to catch the most eyes since the two favourites in the competition will meet. No matter what happens in the quarterfinal, there will be a giant-killing.

Real Madrid are not the type of team to wish for injuries to their opposition. They are capable of beating any team in the world, regardless of injuries. However, there's no denying that Man City would be weakened without Kyle Walker who, even given his age, is one of Pep Guardiola's strongest assets.
