Finally, though, Real Madrid have officially made the next big step after securing the Kylian Mbappe transfer. It took them a while, but Mbappe has officially been revealed as a squad player on the official club website. Both Endrick and Kylian Mbappe have been listed among the Real Madrid forwards, as the only two forwards without a squad number currently. Jesus Vallejo also has no squad number.
Squad numbers are taken very seriously, especially by Real Madrid. In the past, they have seen some incredibly iconic players don the best numbers. For example, Cristiano Ronaldo became synonymous with his alter-ego "CR7" due to his Real Madrid jersey for a long time.
It is anticipated that Kylian Mbappe will wear the number 9 jersey (Forbes), which makes the most sense as a likely centre forward. Now, Real Madrid fans will just await official confirmation on this but it's great to see Kylian Mbappe pictured in a Real Madrid jersey on the official squad list.
