Vinicius Junior's future with Real Madrid is not as certain as it once was and there are multiple reasons behind him. Firstly, we all know about the issues he has faced during his time in Spain. Secondly, there are question marks over how his partnership with Kylian Mbappe will fit in the long term. And thirdly, there are rumours about an astronomical offer from the Saudi Pro League.
An offer that would make him the highest-paid footballer on the planet. An offer that would be hard to turn down for anyone, whether they play for Real Madrid or not.
Of course, it is not like important offers from the Saudi Pro League have not been turned down in the past. We have seen Lionel Messi and Mbappe do so. Let's see what Vinicius ends up deciding.
As reported by SPORT, Real Madrid do not rule out Vinicius' departure after this offer. They think of Nico Williams as a possible replacement.
Real Madrid want €60 million winger if Vinicius Jr leaves
It is believed that Vinicius has not ruled out this offer yet. And it is easy to understand why that might be the case. It is certainly a hard one to turn down.
As for Williams, he starred at the recent EUROs for Spain, leading them to an unexpected title alongside Lamine Yamal. He was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer but ended up remaining at Athletic Bilbao for another season at least.
Williams is one of the best players in La Liga already. He does not have the consistent effectiveness of someone like Vinicius yet, but it feels like only a matter of time before he unlocks that side to his game.
If Vinicius were to leave, Williams would be a great replacement. Although, moving Mbappe to the left flank and signing an out-and-out striker should be worth considering as well.
