A Real Madrid transfer target to watch out for in 2025 is Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Liverpool star may have dropped a major hint recently.

With the exception of losing to Nottingham Forest, Liverpool have had a great start to the season. Under the new management of Arne Slot, Liverpool do not appear to have changed much since Jurgen Klopp left.

One of the players who has benefitted from the arrival of the Dutch manager is Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, Liverpool fans are very aware of the danger which Real Madrid transfer interest presents.

In fact, a comment which was made by Trent Alexander-Arnold himself has added plenty of fuel to the Real Madrid transfer fire. But what has he said exactly?

Trent Alexander-Arnold may have hinted at Real Madrid transfer

According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid are on the lookout for players like Trent Alexander-Arnold. In fact, they may have been persuaded with his recent comments.

In his own words, Trent Alexander-Arnold said: “I want to win trophies. I’m a player who is very motivated by winning things and being at the elite level. That’s probably the main factor in everything. If you have an elite personality, one that wants to win and will do anything to win, then that’s what drives them.”

The reason why this rings Real Madrid alarm bells is because Real Madrid is the only club in the world, with the exception of Manchester City, who guarantees trophies.

Needless to say, but Trent Alexander-Arnold would be better off signing for Real Madrid than a direct league rival, Man City. At least then, his Liverpool legacy would remain somewhat intact.

Trent Alexander-Arnold possesses a coveted honour list at Liverpool. He has won the Champions League and the Premier League, after all. However, it goes without saying that in the same timeframe, he would have won plenty more at Real Madrid.
