Vinicius Jr has enjoyed quite the transformation since joining Real Madrid as a youngster. Early on in his time at Santiago Bernabeu, he was not effective enough in the final third of the pitch. There were times when he was linked with a move away. But Los Blancos decided to stick with the Brazilian international, trusting his talent and potential, and they have reaped the rewards.

Vinicius has been one of the best players in the world for the past three seasons, with Real Madrid winning two Champions League titles during that period of time. It is easy to forget that he is still just 24 years of age.

Vinicius is one of the favourites to win the next Ballon d'Or. Of course, players like Rodri and Dani Carvajal should be in contention as well.

Interestingly, it looks like Vinicius had the chance to leave Real Madrid recently. But he has turned that opportunity down, opting to remain in the Spanish capital.

Vinicius Jr rejects lucrative offer to leave Real Madrid

As reported by The Athletic, Vinicius has turned down a lucrative offer to join the Saudi Pro League. A delegation had reached out to the Brazilian’s representatives to try and persuade him to become the face of the league ahead of the 2034 World Cup.

They are expected to renew their interest in the future. But for the time being, neither Real Madrid nor Vinicius seem to have any interest in parting ways.

Vinicius is the face of Real Madrid right now. That could change following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe this summer. While the Brazilian international is the one contending for the Ballon d'Or, the Frenchman is widely considered the bigger name.

Both thrive in similar positions as well. So, it will be interesting to see what impact Mbappe's arrival has on Vinicius' role in the team.
