Real Madrid are in a state of turmoil, and while president Florentino Perez is not interested in shopping his star players despite the controversies around them, there have been reports in the media floating around about stars either wanting to leave - or other players in the team wanting certain players out in the summer transfer window.

Bizarrely, despite being the one concussed, center midfielder Fede Valverde has been the one explicitly mentioned as a player an apparent heavyweight of the locker room wants out the door this coming window. And that has led to speculation that either the man he fought with, Aurelien Tchouameni, or Kylian Mbappe is behind these rampant leaks.

No matter how you spin it, Valverde has been in the negative spotlight recently and hasn't been a strong leader as a captain, showing some dark traits we never saw before early in the season when he refused to play right back for Xabi Alonso, which is a lot of the source of the discontent between Fede and Tchouameni - the latter emerging as the hero of the incident despite Fede going down (which has only furthered the mole allegations).

PSG are in the ring for Fede Valverde

According to a report from Marcos Benito on El Chiringuito, back to back Champions League Finalists PSG are now at the door of Fede Valverde. The Ligue 1 giants have reportedly been in contact with Fede's entourage in the aftermath of this controversy, and while Benito cautions that does not mean Valverde is thinking of leaving or that Real Madrid are thinking of selling him, it is an interesting development. Basically, PSG is making itself known to Fede if the player were to change his mind about Madrid with all the drama going on with the axis of Kylian Mbappe and Aurelien Tchouameni.

These are dark times when a captain, star player, and two time Champions League winner like Valverde who was seen as a pillar of the club just months ago is being nipped at by PSG. Big clubs, including PSG and Bayern Munich, have been at Valverde's heels for years, but Zinedine Zidane's chosen breakout from 2019 has been so important to Real Madrid and Florentino Perez that he was always off limits.

Real Madrid fans will hope that is still the case in 2026, because anonymous rumors and moles should not change the reality that Valverde was crucial to two Champions League triumphs and still proved his worth on the big stage with THAT hat trick against Manchester City.
