Let's revisit the longest running transfer saga in recent history. Real Madrid's hunt for the then PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe. It sparked so much controversy but in the end, Real Madrid got what they wanted.
They wanted Mbappe to join the club, they wanted him in order to create a dynasty around him and Vinicius Jr, and win as many titles as possible. Real Madrid have the two best players in the world now, and one of them - the one from PSG - was free.
PSG did not like that. They had the option to sell Mbappe in 2021 for as much as 200 million euros. Real Madrid gave them the respect they later craved for when they offered that much money for a player who would have been a free agent the year after.
Four years later, Mbappe finally joined the club, after much more controversy, but PSG have still not forgotten it, somehow. They still want to take revenge on Real Madrid, according to a report, and they will try to do it in a way not many people expect.
PSG want to sign one of the top talents from Real Madrid's academy
According to Jose Felix Diaz of MARCA, PSG are monitoring some of the best talents at La Fabrica, and their interest in the club's youth players is known at Real Madrid. They want to take revenge on the Spanish club by signing one of their gems for the future.
A few days ago, Real Madrid's youth team prevailed against PSG in a competition at Doha, and after the match, Nasser Al-Khelaifi came to the dressing room to stand with the players from both teams. It is clear at Real Madrid that PSG are trying to sign someone from the youth teams, and they are 'monitoring' the movements.
It remains to be seen what actually happens, but Real Madrid, who recently signed youth product Bryan Bugarin, are attentive to this situation.
