According to reports in Spain, PSG would like revenge for Real Madrid signing Kylian Mbappe. Both clubs have the same transfer target in mind now.
Real Madrid rocked the footballing world when they signed Kylian Mbappe on a free deal. The former PSG superstar established himself as one of the best players in the world. Moving away from France for the first time in his career was bound to raise eyebrows, then.
Since he arrived at Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe has not set the world alight. He's had a decent return but by his own standards, he's not begun his Real Madrid tenure how he would've envisioned.
Anyway, PSG is still bitter for losing one of their best players in history to Real Madrid. So, they are seeking revenge in the transfer market.
PSG seek Kylian Mbappe revenge by hijacking Real Madrid transfer
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Paris Saint-Germain have become interested in signing Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool. They have now joined Real Madrid in the transfer race.
The report claims that PSG want to steal the signing from Real Madrid. Furthermore, it claims that both Real Madrid and PSG are in "advanced talks" to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Admittedly, it does appear likelier that Trent will sign for Real Madrid, particularly given their growing squad concerns.
Dani Carvajal is seemingly missing for the rest of the season. Since he is one of Real Madrid's most important players, Los Blancos have certainly felt the effect of missing him from the starting lineup.
Real Madrid's defence is weaker without Dani Carvajal. This is not a criticism of the other defenders, but more a testament to Carvajal's importance to Real Madrid. There is no way to avoid it, Real Madrid need a right-back to replace Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez is not it.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is an incredibly versatile defender. Therefore, he is not only one to consider with the defence in mind, but also the midfield. Known for his creativity and wide range of passing, he would certainly benefit Real Madrid immediately.
If they can fend off competition from PSG, that is.
