After almost seven years with Real Madrid Castilla, former star and captain Raul, now manager, is leaving Castilla.

The Spanish manager joined La Fabrica as a manager in 2018 and has since led the academy to new heights.

He has oversaw the growth of some of Real Madrid's top youth products in recent years, and after fulfilling his responsibilities, he will leave the academy at the end of the season.

According to Diario AS, there is only one reason why Raul is taking the stern approach. The manager is impatient of waiting for a greater opportunity from Real Madrid.

He has simply lost patience while waiting for a promotion to the first team, which is why he is now taking the exit.

Raul's situation reflects the harsh reality of the beautiful game

Raul was always on the lookout for a call to manage Madrid's top team after excelling at Castilla. Zinedine Zidane left, and he expected to be called up in 2021. However, the opportunity was rejected, and Carlo Ancelotti was brought in for the second time.

And now that Carlo Ancelotti is leaving, he expected to be called up again, but the club has agreed to bring in former player Xabi Alonso instead.

After losing the opportunity twice, the 47-year-old manager now wants out, and the reason is very clear and understandable, and you cannot blame him.

Raul has been a constant servant at Castilla, and it is understandable that he expects to be promoted; however, the second refusal now asserts that Madrid like him, but it is just not enough. And he refuses to settle for just enough. He wants the summit, but he won't get it.

The final straw came when Xabi's quick arrival was doubtful and Madrid were rumored to have chosen Santiago Solari to head the first team to the Club World Cup. At this moment, Raul recognized that he was not going to get the first team call any time soon.

According to Diario AS, Raul has received serious proposals from clubs like as Leeds United, Villarreal, and Schalke 04 to become their first-team manager. Previously, the manager dismissed those offers, but now it is time to reconsider the best.
