Real Madrid just about managed to beat Mallorca 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu after a humongous effort from the team against a resolute defense to spoil Barcelona's party for at least 24 hours.

In Carlo Ancelotti's second-to-last home game of his Real Madrid career, the hosts went behind after another lapse in concentration while defending, and stayed behind till the second half.

Kylian Mbappe came to the rescue as always, and scored a brilliant solo effort to equalise.

Real Madrid finally were able to beat Leo Roman through Jacobo Ramon's very, very late equaliser, and

Here are the player ratings from a frustrating win.

Real Madrid player ratings from 2-1 win vs Mallorca

GK Thibaut Courtois

Not much Courtois could have done about the goal he conceded, but made amends anyway right after Real Madrid scored the equaliser, as he made himself big to save a shot that would have put Mallorca ahead. Rating: 7

RB Fede Valverde

Heavily involved everywhere on the pitch. Seen as the man pressing the highest, defending the deepest, and also ran through every blade of grass on the pitch trying to power Real Madrid to an equaliser. Defended well. Rating: 7.5

CB Jacobo Ramon

Good performance from the Spaniard on his first LaLiga start. Defended well, passed the ball around well too. Had one major hiccup when he gave the ball away for the chance Courtois had to save, but apart from that, good from Ramon. Easily his best performance for the first team. Scored the winner, and deserved it. Rating: 8

CB Raul Asencio

Solid performance, but had to go off, presumably injured, for Jesus Vallejo to make his second appearance of the season. He was the leader of Real Madrid's weak defense when he was on, though, and a solid performance in Antonio Rudiger's absence. He'd look good next to Dean Huijsen. Rating: 7

LB Fran Garcia

Decent performance, particularly in the second half. He was not as lively in the first, but the ball went towards him more and more as the game went on. Real Madrid still need a left-back, though. Rating: 6.5

CM Dani Ceballos

Slightly better from Ceballos as opposed to previous games. He looked very good in possession, but still made a few really bad errors. Rating: 6.5

CM Luka Modric

A great performance from Modric, who kept trying to look for an opening as Mallorca sat deep in their box. He had a good assist to Mbappe's goal, and apart from that, played well and took many of the 25 corners Real Madrid had. Rating: 7.5

CM Jude Bellingham

Kept playing inside Mallorca's box in search for, initially an equaliser, then a winner, but just could not get on the scoreline. Looked visibly frustrated, even though he was one of the better performers of the match. Rating: 7

AM Arda Guler

A really good performance from Guler, and he was looked to as the man who would make things happen for Real Madrid. Took the remaining corners. Five key passes ,and a great performance that deserved an assist. Rating: 8

RW Endrick

Did not have a huge impact on the game, and was taken off for Gonzalo Garcia. Rating: 5

LW Kylian Mbappe

Tried so, so hard to postpone Barcelona's title celebrations. Scored a brilliant goal, and had so many great chances to score that would have gone in on a different day. Mallorca's Roman would just not be beaten, and it was not for a lack of trying. Easily Real Madrid's best player. Rating: 9

Substitutions

CF Gonzalo Garcia

Missed a big opportunity for Real Madrid in his few minutes on the pitch. Rating: 6

CB Jesus Vallejo

He surprisingly came on. Even more surprisingly, he got an assist. Rating: 7
