Real Madrid's squad for the future is slowly but surely coming together very well. The club are assembling a formidable roster filled with some of the best talents from all over the world. The aim seems to be to be one of the best teams in Europe not just now but for many more years to come as well.

With the likes of Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni in the midfield along with Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo on the flanks, Real Madrid will no doubt continue to be the team everyone in Europe keeps an eye on. However, one area of the squad seems particularly weak when considering the long-term vision.

It is their defence. With players like David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger, Nacho and Dani Carvajal all in their thirties, it may be time to start looking towards the future. Players need to be brought in to fill their shoes in the long term.

Real Madrid have long been liked with a move for Alphonso Davies. However, centre-back may be the position in the backline that is most in need of reinforcements. Who will be the long-term partner for Eder Militao in the heart of defence? And it remains to be seen whether the Brazilian himself is still the same dynamic player after recovering from a serious ACL injury.

Real Madrid interested in signing €60m 'Next Raphael Varane'

As reported by MARCA, Real Madrid are considering signing a centre-back. The first name on the list is none other than Leny Yoro.

A move for Yoro may not come easy though. Paris Saint-Germain are also rumoured to be highly interested in the defender who has been dubbed the 'Next Varane'. On the other hand, it is believed Lille want a transfer fee around €60 million for him.

With the amount of injuries that Real Madrid have had to deal with this season, it is no surprise that the club may be accelerating efforts to bring in reinforcements to give Carlo Ancelotti a deeper squad to work with. It remains to be seen if they can sign Yoro in the future.
