Given the size of the club and the star power at Real Madrid, it's common that other clubs show interest in signing Real Madrid players, no matter of their stance in the team. Some of Europe's top clubs are always interested in signing Real Madrid players and this summer is no different, with two of the Premier League's biggest clubs interested in one of Real Madrid's most important midfielders, causing Los Blancos to react quickly.

As being reported by Defensa Central, Real Madrid are planning to engage in extension talks with Aurelien Tchouameni amid growing interest from Liverpool and Manchester United, with both of the Premier League sides looking to revamp their midfield's in the summer.

Real Madrid planning contract extension for midfielder amid Premier League interest

The Frenchman is under contract with Los Blancos until 2028, and is a key player in Arbeloa's system and is a player the club can't afford to lose, hence their eagerness to tie him down to a new contract sooner rather than later. Talks could take place either this summer or next summer in 2027, but one thing is certain, Tchouameni remains fully committed to Real Madrid and doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Tchouameni arrived in the summer of 2022 from Monaco for a fee of around €80 million and has had some up and down moments in his time at the Bernabeu. However the midfielder has come to life this season, and despite criticism from the fans and media, Tchouameni has always been determined to succeed at the club, and Alvaro Arbeloa has been able to get the best out of the midfielder this season, causing a massive U-turn by a majority of the fanbase.

The midfielders improvements haven't gone unnoticed and has garnered interest from a number of Premier League clubs, putting Real Madrid on high alert. Liverpool and Manchester United are hot on the tail of the Frenchman, and with him only having a year and a half left on his contract, the Premier League sides think a transfer would be possible, but from Real Madrid's perspective, that's never going to happen.

As mentioned earlier the Frenchman is under contract until 2028 giving Real Madrid plenty of time to time the midfielder down to a new deal, but it would be in the club's best interest to get a new deal done sooner rather than later. One of the main factors playing into Real's favor is Tchouameni's committment to the club, with the player showing zero interest in leaving, no matter the offer that comes in.
