Real Madrid have signed four top players this summer transfer window already in Bernardo Silva, Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konate, and Denzel Dumfries, but Jose Mourinho and Florentino Perez are not at all done with making moves yet.

In addition to wanting another center back like Nico Schlotterbeck, Ruben Dias, or Alessandro Bastoni, Real Madrid are after a new center midfielder who can sit deep and help control the game while offering defensive coverage. This is a player who could replace Aurelien Tchouameni or Eduardo Camavinga - or Mourinho could even oust both disappointing Frenchmen.

For the most part, the two names frequently linked to Real Madrid are West Ham United's breakout Portuguese international Mateus Fernandes, as well as Enzo Fernandez, who has been desperate to leave Chelsea for the Santiago Bernabeu for months now.

It's Real Madrid vs. PSG all over again

But after watching him dazzle against former Real Madrid legend Casemiro and the Brazil national team in the World Cup battle between Morocco and Brazil, Los Blancos are highly interested in 18 year old Morocco international Ayyab Bouaddi.

According to a report from ESPN's Rodra, despite being massive fans of the Lille standout, Real Madrid are actually not the ones leading the race for Bouaddi in the early going. Ligue 1 giants PSG are the favorites right now, but there is a catch that could benefit Real Madrid, just as it did with two other top young French league midfielders whom both PSG and Real Madrid were interested in. Lille's owner would prefer to sell Bouaddi outside France and thus not PSG.

So Real Madrid can have a big advantage there, since most Ligue 1 clubs do not want to watch their young stars burn them in the future by playing for the club in the French top flight that effectively ruined the competition in the league since the Qatar takeover.

That said, PSG have a ton of money and are back to back Champions League winners, so they now have clout to go up against Real Madrid, whereas they did not back when Real Madrid and PSG were battling for the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga in the middle of the park.

Ayyab Bouaddi has the potential to be even better than those two, as he wins with composure, intelligence, and quality on the ball, whereas Tchouameni only had some of those traits and Camavinga was more of a raw, box to box sparkplug.
