Real Madrid are preparing for a sea of changes this summer transfer window, and while there will not be any exits of the Galactic players despite the misgivings from the fans of how Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe fit together, there could be a blockbuster change of manager with Jose Mourinho at the top of the list of Alvaro Arbeloa replacements.

As Florentino Perez considers the new midfielders and center backs who could bolster the squad, there will have to be a few key exits. Dani Ceballos and David Alaba are obvious candidates to leave the club, while others like Eduardo Camavinga and Fran Garcia are other notable backups who could make their departures.

But there is one more big name who looks set to be a near lock to leave the club. According to a report from MARCA, via Madrid Xtra, Dani Carvajal will not renew his contract with Real Madrid and appears set to leave the club for good at the end of the dismal 2025/26 La Liga season.

Dani Carvajal will not leave a dent now

In truth, Carvajal's loss will not be an earth shattering one. Though he seems to be the one leaking the negativity from the supposedly disgruntled Spanish camp - of which likely departures Raul Asencio and Dani Ceballos are a part of - he has been deeply disappointing this season and obviously should not be starting over 2025 "free agent" acquisition Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Carvajal is 34 years old and beyond finished at the highest level of football, whereas at least the other legends who left in the preceding transfer windows, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, were still great players. And even Marcelo before Carvajal, though he was finished, was a good locker room influence. Carvajal has stuck out as a bitter miscreant who has hurt his reputation far worse than Iker Casillas did during Jose Mourinho's reign.

The legendary right back has only added to the mistrust and malaise in the locker room, and his inability to get along with Alvaro Arbeloa has been one of the most unnecessary negative storylines in the Spanish media this season.

Moving on from Carvajal is a no brainer. He is holding back a lot of young talents by his presence, as Victor Valdepenas and David Jiminez clearly have more to offer than a player who can no longer get up and down the pitch, except maybe against the relegation fodder of La Liga.
