While much of the attention has been on the arrivals at Real Madrid this summer, the club has actually been active with sales. Just recently the club announced the sales of Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios to Premier League side Fulham and it seems they aren't done trying to get their hands on Real Madrid players, with Fulham eyeing another, one that Real Madrid shouldn't let go of soon easily.
As being reported by theMadridZone on X, midfielder Thiago Pitarch is in talks to join Fulham this summer, with Alvaro Arbeloa looking to reunite with another one of his former Castilla players at Craven Cottage. Fulham have already raided Real Madrid for Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios and it seems Pitcarch is the latest Castilla player to catch the eyes of the London club.
Fulham plan to keep raiding Real Madrid this summer
The 19-year-old was called into action for Real Madrid this season due to their disastrous midfield injury crisis and put on a number of impressive performances when he was essentially thrown into the fire at such a young age. The teenager held his own in some of the biggest matches of the season, putting in good displays against Benfica, Manchester City, and Atletico Madrid showing that he has what it takes to play for Real Madrid, and still being only 19-years-old, he still has his whole future ahead of him and plenty of time to develop.
However despite his impressive displays, Pitarch still faces an uphill battle for midfield minutes given the midfield depth already at the club with the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Fede Valverde currently occupying his same position. Add on top of that his young age, need for more refinement, and that fact that he is currently out injured and Pitarch could miss out on a squad place despite showing that he deserves one.
As a result a move away from the Bernabeu seems to be what would be best for the youngster at this stage in his career, and Fulham could be an ideal landing spot for the midfielder. Reuniting with his former manager and some of his former teammates would be a great place for Pitarch to get regular game time and help him take the next step in his career.
The midfielder currently has a value of around €20 million which would be a solid fee for Real Madrid to bring in for their youngster. Should a deal be agreed between Fulham and Real Madrid, it wouldn't be surprising if Real included a buy-back clause in the deal given the potential he's already shown and his potential to get even better in a couple years.
