Real Madrid have been bitten by the injury bug yet again this season. A number of key players have suffered season ending injuries which has caused Carlo Ancelotti to have to play makeshift starting eleven's and rely on his squad players that he would not call on under normal circumstances.
The main player Ancelotti has had to call on this season due to the ongoing injury crisis is youth team centre-back Raul Asencio. The youngster has had a good run in the team ever since Eder Militao went down with a season ending knee injury a few months ago.
With the youngster showing his talent on the biggest stage for the biggest team, this has drawn the attention of of teams across Europe who may look to poach the youngster away from Los Blancos.
Real Madrid centre-back prodigy could be headed to the Premier League
According to Fichajes, Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Nottingham Forest are all set to battle it out as they all hold a strong interest in centre-back Raul Asencio as his place in Carlo Ancelotti's squad now seems to be questioned.
Asencio has been the emergency center-back called on this season, being promoted from the Real Madrid B team in wake of David Alaba and Eder Militao's injuries which left Antonio Rudiger as the only fit central defender in the first team squad.
However, Asencio has since lost his spot in the starting eleven with Carlo Ancelotti preferring to play Aurelien Tchouameni at center-back alongside Antonio Rudiger.
With the Spaniard getting dropped from the team this has caused some to speculate about the players future with multiple teams from the Premier League showing interest in the 21-year-old.
