This summer, Real Madrid will have to make one of the most important decisions in their recent history, who will they bring in as their next manager. Xabi Alonso didn't work (unfortunately) and Alvaro Arbeloa is just there on an interim basis as they look for their perfect long-term candidate. Ths club has a list of a number of different candidates, all of which are unique in their own ways, but the club has one particular trait in mind they are looking for, and it could end up being Real's downfall.
As being reported by MadridXtra, Real Madrid are searching for a manager that can make Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe & Jude Bellingham work together. The club want a manger to build around the three superstars as the club still views all three players and key figures next season, which in the end is the biggest issue at Real Madrid.
Real Madrid's dream trio has turned out to be a nightmare
Real Madrid has always been a team of superstars. Even going back to the days of Puskas the team has always had some of the biggest names of all of football from the first Galacticos era, to the Cristiano Ronaldo era, and now the Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe era, each team has had varying degrees of success and it all comes down to one thing managing the egos of the superstars, which has been the biggest issue at the Bernabeu the last two seasons, specifically with their star trio of Vinicius, Mbappe, and Bellingham.
There's no denying all the three players are three of the best players in the world but despite their greatness, getting all three to work in the same team seems impossible. Carlo Ancelotti couldn't do it last year, and Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa have struggled to make it work too, so history tells us whoever the club brings in next will struggle to make the trio work out too.
The problem lays with the three occupying similar positions and all of them wanting to be the main star of the show which effects the performance of the others which in turn effects the performance of the team as a whole. In the 23/24 season we saw the duo of Vinicius and Bellingham find incredible success and the same can be said about the duo this season when Mbappe has been out and it's just been the two of them so clearly they must be the best duo but you can't force Mbappe out after all the investment they've made in him so he has to play which unsettles the Vini-Bellingham duo. And you can't force either of the other two out to fit Mbappe in cause then you'd upset the other two, so ultimately it's an endless cycle of problems.
Whoever the next manager is whether its Jose Mourinho or Jurgen Klopp has a major task on their hands of making the trio workout and realistically it could end up being the biggest task of their managerial careers and even for managers of their stature, it could prove to be too difficult to make Real Madrid's superstar trio work in reality.
