Real Madrid fans' biggest problem with Eduardo Camavinga has nothing to do with his ability

As of the last couple of seasons, Eduardo Camavinga has been one of the most frustrating figures at Real Madrid. Every single fan in existence knows that Camavinga is insanely talented, but everyone also understands that he is just not consistent enough to be able to showcase his talent.

The reason all the fans are or were so frustrated with the French midfielder is because he had so many inconsistencies to his game and he actually started playing worse progressively, which really did not make sense. With the way he started his career at Real Madrid, everyone thought he would be the next cornerstone of the team's midfield, but it hasn't ended up being the case, at least as of now.

However, since the season has started, as well as in the pre-season, Camavinga has looked better than the last time around. His passing is more crisp, his decision-making is better, and his defensive interventions have also been more consistent.

Eduardo Camavinga's lapses in concentration should not still be happening so often

But the problem that Madrid fans have with him does not have anything to do with the way he plays. Everyone knows that the ability is right there.

What no one understands is the sudden lapses in concentration that occur in every single game he plays. Even in the games Camavinga is performing well, he would just have two or three really confusing moments where he'd either give the ball away or give away a cheap foul.

And even if he is in a really good run of form, which at the moment he is, he would do the same thing. Against Malaga, that's what ended up happening.

Real Madrid were playing well, as was Camavinga in his first start for the club this season. Up until the 55th minute, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the Frenchman's performance, but after that, he slowly started showing his inconsistencies.

He gave the ball away very carelessly on two different occasions, and then gave away a foul in a dangerous area where there was no reason for him to do so. It is things like this that fans have a problem with him.

And if he played the way he usually plays, without these inconsistencies, Real Madrid fans would still respect him and accept him as an important part of the team. But if he keeps doing that, it will frustrate the fans even more, and he needs to realize that this has been happening for a very long time.

Camavinga is going to be 24 this year. He is no longer the 18-year-old who is allowed a few mistakes here and there, and a few lapses in concentration in every game.

Now the standards are higher, and everyone expects more from him than they did when he first arrived. Camavinga needs to improve. It's as plain and simple as that, and the sooner he does that, the better it is for everyone.
