The season has not even started, and yet, Real Madrid are receiving bad news one after the other.
First, it was Fede Valverde not even being nominated for the Ballon d'Or, which left a sour taste in everyone's mouths.
Then, it was Real Madrid not being able to sell or sign any players, at least as of now.
Now, there has been an injury that the club needs to think about, more than a week before the season has officially started as well.
Real Madrid recently put out a medical report about Eduardo Camavinga's fitness, and how the player has suffered another injury.
Eduardo Camavinga is set to miss game time again
Well, journalists have reported the extent of the injury now. It is not as bad as people thought it could be, but it is still bad in ways.
Camavinga, according to Arancha Rodriguez, will be out for 10 days and is a doubt for the game against Osasuna in the La Liga opener.
Real Madrid will definitely not have Camavinga around for their midweek friendly on August 12, but they were hoping to have the Frenchman fit for the start of next season.
That is now all but ruled out. It could have been worse, yes, but it is bad for the club for a few reasons.
Camavinga will now have to reset, miss 10 days worth of training under a new coach, and then start all over again.
He has already missed so much game time because of injuries in the last few months, that it was crucial for him to stay fit in the off-season to give himself a better chance of improving next time around.
Now, Camavinga is once again back to where he used to be: facing a race against time to be fit for a game.
Hopefully, this season is much better for the player in terms of fitness and consistency, and we are able to see the real version of Camavinga on a regular basis.
