A rebuild is widely expected to take place at Real Madrid this summer and it could mean several first-team stars leave the Estadio Bernabeu. A topsy-turvy season has raised doubts over players' futures with a lack of consistent form a glaring issue.

It's not often that a player wants to leave Madrid given its regarded by many to be the biggest club in world football. But a lack of first-team opportunities can be frustrating especially when there are no signs of a possible run in the starting lineup.

The only member of Los Blancos' senior squad who departed in January was Endrick who joined Lyon on loan until the end of the season. But one of his teammates was close to sealing a deadline day move only for the club to deny him a chance to get his career back on track.

Fran Garcia wants out

Fran Garcia was set to join Premier League club Bournemouth on loan and he bid farewell to his teammates and the coaching staff. A deal was advanced but Madrid cancelled the move which dissapointed the Spanish left-back.

The 26-year-old was so upset by the club's decision that he asked to train alone ahead of the 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano on the weekend. He has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu and is even behind midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

The Athletic reports that Garcia is set to review the situation this summer but hopes to leave for more playing time. He has made just 14 appearances across competitions this season, including just seven La Liga outings.

Real Madrid should let Garcia leave this summer

Garcia's deal is up in 2027 so the opportune time to cash in will be this summer when he'll enter the final year of that contract. He is clearly not in Arbeloa's plans and it seems odd that he wasn't granted a loan to get valuable minutes under his belt.

If there is a chance to sell Garcia for a reasonable price then its time to part ways with the former Rayo Vallecano full-back. He's been at the Bernabeu since the summer of 2023 but failed to nail down the left-back starting berth.

Garcia has enjoyed good times in the Spanish capital which includes winning the Champions League and La Liga in the 2023-24 campaign. He's made 100 appearances for the club, scoring three goals and providing 12 assists.
