Carlo Ancelotti’s departure was emotional. A true legendary manager who achieved so much was leaving. But the reason he had to go was the standstill Real Madrid had found themselves in under him.

It was an awful season with nothing to look back on, and so Ancelotti had to leave. We thought that was the end of him affecting how things worked at Madrid, until now.

According to journalist Jose Luis Sanchez, Carlo Ancelotti, now the manager of the Brazil national team, has decided not to call Eder Militao for the upcoming international break. He prefers that the defender continues his recovery in Madrid after his recent return from injury.

Real Madrid receive a surprising gift from Carlo Ancelotti out of nowhere

Ancelotti believes it is better not to put Militao under the strain of extra international minutes while he is still regaining full match fitness.

Militao has impressed on his return. Honestly, I did not expect him to be back in form so quickly, but his last few performances suggest he never left.

He has already built a rock-solid partnership with Dean Huijsen, and I am convinced this pair will feature more often than any other combination.

Ancelotti’s decision is a welcome move that will allow Militao to adapt to the hectic club schedule again without the unnecessary load of international football.

Real Madrid have plenty of Brazilian stars, and Carlo Ancelotti is going to be directly responsible for their fate with the national team. Just when we thought he was gone, he has found another way to be involved.

I am not complaining, though. Having worked with Real Madrid, Ancelotti knows the good and the bad of these players. He has a genuine chance of winning the World Cup with this Brazil squad that includes many of the same players he lifted two Champions League trophies with.
