At the moment, the Real Madrid squad is in a bit of a crisis situation when it comes to the egos and the relationships between the players. The superstars are making it impossible to find piece amongst them and as a result the club has decided that under new manager Jose Mourinho heads will role in order to get the dressing room back to a peaceful state. One player who took up a majority of the headlines due to his attitude towards the end of the season was Fede Valverde, and after months of thinking, the club has finally come to the decision about his future.

As being reported by theMadridZone on X, Real Madrid are not considering selling Fede Valverde this summer under any circumstances. The midfield candidates for sale will be Tchouameni or Camavinga but not Valverde, with the club full trusting the midfielder as he will be the captain for Jose Mourinho next season.

Valverde isn't going anywhere anytime soon

For the majority of his career at Real Madrid Valverde never really caused any issues. He would just come in, do his job and that was that, no issues. However the Uruguayan got a bigger role within the team during the 25/26 season and started using his voice more than in previous years, and that is when some issues unfortunately started to arise.

It started early in the season with his public displeasure with having to play right-back under Xabi Alonso due to the injuries to both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dani Carvajal, with Valverde even refusing to warm-up and come on as a substitute during Real's Champions League clash with Kairat Almaty back in September. The early signs were there, we all just ignored them, and so did the club, which ultimately led to the dressing room fight between Valverde and Tchouameni, resulting in the Uruguayan needing stitches.

The fight was the last straw to the club as they finally saw that something needed to be done to sort out the dressing room and exstinguish this dumpster fire. Given Valverde was the one that reportedly started the fight many believed he would be the one sold, however it seems the club has decided to side with him and have instead decided to move on from one of Tchouameni or Camavinga and bring in another midfielder to try and solve the issues, a decision that leaves many scratching their heads.

Valverde has been a loyal servant to Real Madrid since his arrival in 2016 but when things like this happen, it's the signs that things need to end and the two need to go their separate ways. The 27-year-old caused more issues than he solved last season and with a new manager coming in, the smart decision would be to get rid of the toxicity with Valverde, but evidently the club disagrees.
