Replacing someone like the legendary Sergio Ramos was never going to be an easy task. Players like Eder Militao and David Alaba were quick fixes however both players have struggled with injuries over the last number of season, leaving one of or both on the sidelines for long periods of time.

If Real Madrid hope to achieve the same success as the legendary Champions League three peat team, they need to find themselves their long-term central defender and it seems they have struck gold this summer.

Real Madrid have finally replaced Sergio Ramos in the perfect way

Real Madrid's first big move of the summer was signing center-back Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth for around €50 million, and it seems that will be a steal of a deal. The Spaniard has impressed everyone at this summer's Club World Cup proving Real Madrid made the right choice with their signing.

Huijsen has quickly established himself as a non-negotiable starter and is showing that at just 20-years-old, he is well on the path to be Real's next Sergio Ramos. His defensive work rate as well as his role in the build up play from the back is proving to be crucial to Xabi Alonso's system at Real Madrid.

With Los Blancos finally finding their new center-back for the next decade or more, fans can breathe a collective sigh of relief. Sergio Ramos is beloved by all Real Madrid fans, and his position is in safe hands going forward.
