Real Madrid is unquestionably the world's most successful football team. However, success is not restricted to sports; it can also be seen in the financial books. The club is often regarded as the world's richest football club, and it continues to set and break new financial records.

Previously, it was revealed that Real Madrid was the first European team to achieve record income in a single financial year. Los Blancos genuinely set an example to follow by surpassing the one billion euro mark for the first time in football history, underscoring the scale of their achievement both on and off the field.

According to another report, Real Madrid have broken yet another record and are now at the top of the European rankings.

Real Madrid clock record merchandise sales

UEFA has produced an article titled European Club Finance and Investment Landscape report, in which the organization analyzes the financial success of significant clubs in Europe across all competitions. The report elaborates on the expenditures expended by the clubs, the various types of income received, and the profits produced. The present report expands on the data from the 2023/24 season.

According to the data, Real Madrid had the highest earnings from merchandise sales throughout the aforementioned time period. Along with five other teams, they have earned more than 100 million euros in merchandising income.

Los Blancos leads the list with 196 million euros received through the channel, much exceeding any other club over the period. The past season's European winners are followed on the list by arch rivals FC Barcelona, who are not far behind with about 171 million euros in merchandise sales. Bayern Munich share a pedestal with the Catalan club.

Manchester United and Liverpool follow with 146 million euros each, while Arsenal have 120 million. It is crucial to note that just two of the top six teams with more than 100 million in revenue are from La Liga, emphasizing the league's prominence and over-reliance on the two giants of Barcelona and Real Madrid. The third giant Atletico Madrid are nowhere to be found on the list of 20 top clubs in this avenue.
