Real Madrid have been riddled with injuries this season, there are no ifs or buts around it. They have lost crucial players like Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao to long-term injuries, and others in different departments have not had a good time in terms of fitness.

The one part of the pitch where Real Madrid have historically relied on players to remain fit all season has been the midfield. The club have lost players in defense and attack, but they had always been able to rely on their midfielders to fill in the gaps. This season, particularly in the last month or so, they have lost out on a few midfielders to either injuries or suspensions, making the depth of this squad paper-thin.

Jude Bellingham and Dani Ceballos are just some of the absentees for Real Madrid in their huge Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid, with Fede Valverde also being a doubt, but there was one more player who faced some discomfort.

Eduardo Camavinga faced back discomfort in training, but should be able to make the game vs Atletico Madrid

According to a report by Jose Felix Diaz of MARCA, Camavinga has been suffering from back pain which has prevented him from playing the way he normally does. He will play against Atletico Madrid, but the fact that he is not 100% fit shows how big of an issue it is creating at the club.

Real Madrid have had countless injuries this season, and their most versatile players are either injured or face some sort of discomfort that is not letting them play at their best.

The report says that even Brahim Diaz, who scored Real Madrid's only goal against Real Betis, has some discomfort, which became the reason for his early substitution on the weekend.

It is a bit difficult to find a period of consistency for Real Madrid, both in terms of form and fitness, and Real Madrid would hope that even though Camavinga is not out of the game, he still recovers in time for the business end of the season.
