Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is serious about holding off the challenge of Enrique Riquelme, whose big process of waving around Erling Haaland's jersey in Real Madrid colors and a signed contract has galvanized Flo to make sure he is not beaten by his own move.

Having already confirmed the blockbuster deals for defenders Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries to the team, Florentino, in a public interview, brandished his biggest bet yet, claiming that he will bid 150 million euros to sign a true Galactico for Real Madrid soon on the level of Zinedine Zidane, Ricardo Kaka, and even Cristiano Ronaldo. He said that it will be an exciting midfielder or forward, though he did deny that Michael Olise is the player; previous reports have indicated he is Florentino's new dream prize.

Now, Jose Felix Diaz of Diario AS is reporting, via Madrid Xtra, that there are three big names Florentino Perez is considering as the next Galactic signing for Real Madrid. JFD says that even though Florentino denied Olise would be his signing, he is actually a possibility - and Perez does have a notorious reputation for underpromising and overdelivering so as to not set the fans up for failure.

Real Madrid are looking closer at PSG

The other two signings are both from a club that rarely sells to Real Madrid, PSG, who are looking to match the record three peat next season after winning their second straight Champions League title. PSG's midfield duo of Vitinha and Joao Neves is the best in the world, and whlie they are seen as untouchable, rumor has it that PSG may consider bids of 150 million euros or more - hence the numbers Flo is pulling out.

Plus, Real Madrid now have a huge asset on their side. Not only did they hire Jose Mourinho, a Portuguese manager, to be their new coach, but they also got his super agent Jorge Mendes back on their side after they previously fell out with him a few years ago during the Cristiano Ronaldo saga.

Mendes represents both Joao Neves and Vitinha. They are his biggest clients right now besides Lamine Yamal, who is obviously never joining Madrid. If Florentino can get his hands on either of them, his biggest problem of having either a top controller in midfield like Vitinha or an elite defensive midfielder like Neves would be solved. Another point in their favor over Olise? Real Madrid are more interested in midfielders than adding yet another forward right now.
